Eligibility
Applicants with 16 years of education and a minimum of 50% marks or a CGPA of 2.0 out of 4.0 from a recognized institution, regardless of discipline, are eligible to apply for admission.
Those with a 16-year educational background in Business, Management, Commerce, Public Administration, or a related field may qualify for up to 30 credit hours of exemption, under the applicable rules.
All applicants must pass an entry test, designed following the GAT (General) format and conducted by the Virtual University of Pakistan, in line with HEC guidelines, with a minimum score of 50%.
Upon clearing the written test, candidates must appear for an interview as part of the admission process.
2. MS Computer Science Programs
A Master of Science in Computer Science program is offered by the Department of computer science with the goal of creating excellent academics and professionals. With the help of specialized courses, students can gain an in-depth understanding of the HEC-identified core computer science disciplines while also gaining advanced skills in their chosen field. Currently, the program provides several specialties.

Eligibility
- Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, computer science (honors), master of computer science, master of information technology, or master of science in computer science from a renowned university.
Candidates who have earned a bachelor’s degree (16-year study) in computer engineering, software engineering, information technology engineering, computer and information system engineering, or computer system engineering from a recognized institution are also eligible. To meet program requirements, they may need to take a deficiency course(s).
In circumstances where the GPA system is not used, the candidate must have a minimum CGPA of 2.00 out of 4 or a first division.
- All candidates must pass the University’s Entry Test with at least 50%.
- Seats are limited and are assigned on the basis of merit.
Deficiency Courses
If a candidate’s course schedule does not provide an adequate foundation for the intended degree course, the University may require them to take one or more additional deficiency courses.
